Recently, the distributed coordinated control of multi-agent systems has fascinated more and more researchers from numerous disciplines due to its broad applications in many fields. To reveal the inherent mechanism of multi-agent systems, some models have been introduced. Noise is ubiquitous in natural and man-made systems, which means that the motion of the group is inevitably subjected to noise perturbation in the environment. In noisy environment, each agent may not measure its neighbors' states accurately, leading to more complicated interactions among agents. Because of the intrinsic nature of noise, it is always regarded as mischievous, i.e.,noise will destroy order or add disorder innatural and artificial systems. Additive and multiplicative noise has been extensively used to model the measurement uncertainties in multi-agent systems, and then, the deterministic multi-agent system becomes a stochastic system. It was reported thatordered collective motioncan occur only when the noiseintensityis sufficient small. The order parameterof collective motion is a decreasing function of the noise intensity, indicating that noise can destroy the ordered collective motion.However, some investigations have shown that noise may enhance collective behavior of networked systems. It was shown that the multi-agent system can achieve the consensus only via noise-based coupling.In this talk, we report our results on the collective behavior of multi-agent networks with measurement noise including: asymptotical consensus, finite-time consensus, fixed-time consensus, flocking of Cucker-Smale systems and directional switching of swarming locusts.
