Professor Jixiang FU was invited to give a 45-minute address at the 2010 International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM), to be held in Hyderabad, India.

The International Congress of Mathematicians, taken place every four years by the International Mathematical Union (IMU), is the largest and the most important conference in the mathematics community. Being invited to talk at the ICM is considered to be a remarkable honor critically acclaimed by mathematicians.

Professor Jixiang FU was one of the speakers for Section 5: Geometry. Our other faculty member, Professor Shuxing CHEN, also participated in the ICM 2010 Section 11: Partial Differential Equations.
