Professor Weixiao Shen was invited to give a 45-minute address at the 2014 International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM), to be held in Seoul, Korea.

The International Congress of Mathematicians, taken place every four years by the International Mathematical Union (IMU), is the largest and the most important conference in the mathematics community. Being invited to talk at the ICM is considered to be a remarkable honor critically acclaimed by mathematicians.

Professor Weixiao Shen is now a chair professor of the Shanghai Mathematical Center and the School of Mathematical Sciences, Fudan University. He was an invited speaker of ICM 2014, Section 9: Dynamical Systems and Ordinary Differential Equations.
