Abstract:

In 1953, Syrovatskij found that the magnetic field has the stabilizing effect on Kelvin-Helmholtz instability. He studied the linear stability of the current-vortex sheet and introduced the Syrovatskij linear stability condition. In this talk, I will present nonlinear stability of current-vortex sheet in the ideal incompressible Magneto-Hydrodynamics under the Syrovatskij stability condition. I will also talk about the stabilizing effect of magnetic field on the plasma-vacuum problem.

 

简介:章志飞,北京大学数学科学学院教授。2011年入选教育部新世纪优秀人才,2012年入选中组部首批青年拔尖人才支持计划,2014年获国家杰出青年科学基金。他的主要研究领域是偏微分方程,在Euler方程的自由边值问题、流体动力学方程的适定性和稳定性理论、复杂流体以及液晶中的数学问题等方面取得了一系列重要的研究成果。他已在CPAM, CMP, ARMA, JFA等著名数学刊物上发表学术论文70余篇。
