Abstract：	In this talk, I will give an overview of trust region algorithms for nonlinear optimization and also discuss the application of trust region algorithms to image reconstruction problems. Image reconstruction is a special ill-conditioned inverse problem and trust region algorithms are very suitable for ill-conditioned problems. It is shown that trust region method is also a regularization method just as the famous Tikhonov regularization. An examples is given to compare the trust region approach and the classical Tikhonov regularization.
