We discuss two problems related to blocks with dihedral defect groups from the viewpoint of algebra representation theory. The first problem is the classification of modules without self-extensions over dihedral blocks.  We give the complete classification of these modules and compute their stable endomorphism algebras. This is part of my Ph.D thesis. The second problem consists in determining certain scalar in the quiver with relations of dihedral blocks with two simple modules. This is a recent joint work with Thorsten Holm.
