In this talk, we introduce some progress on time optimal controls for heat equations. They include  observability estimates from measurable sets; the bang-bang property of optimal controls; the necessary and sufficient conditions for the optimal time; and  the geometric property of the optimal trajectory. We end this talk with some problems which we are not able to solve.
