In this  lecture, I would like to give a survey on Teichm/"uller spaces of Riemann surfaces and moduli spaces.

Especially I am interested in the "natural orbifold structure" of the Deligne-Mumford compactification of moduli spaces.

The  lecture will be  preliminary material: Definitions of Teichm/"uller spaces of Riemann surfaces and moduli spaces. We would like to give the definition of orbifolds.
