In this talk, we mainly consider some applications of backstepping method in stabilization and controllability for some PDEs. Firstly, we will review the history of backstepping method starting from ODE to PDE. Secondly, we will discuss the stabilization and controllability of heat equations with some special spatial memory term. Finally, we will consider the applications of backstepping method in some other PDEs.
