Abstract: | These lectures can be regarded as an Introduction to the Mathematical Theory of the Navier-Stokes equations, relying mainly on the classical nonlinear PDE’s approach. The notions of weak and mild solutions are introduced, then their existence is proven (where it is possible), and, afterwards, differentiability properties are analyzed. The material based on courses given at the Mathematical Institute of Oxford University. |
