Asymptotic dimension of metric space, which is first introduced by Gromov in 1993, is an important concept in large-scale geometry. In this talk, I will give a short introduction to asymptotic dimension. I will first give the definition of asymptotic dimension and some examples and non-examples. Next I will talk about some properties and equivalent definition. And then I will mention some known results on spaces with finite asymptotic dimension. I will end with a few techniques for dealing with this kind of space.
