A well-known result, proved by Y. Zhu, states that a rational, C2-cofinite VOA has the modular invariance property, which was vaguely predicted earlier by physicists. In proving the theorem, a coordinate change formula plays the key role. In this talk, we show that a ‘coordinate change formula' for Lie conformal algebras (LCAs) also holds. We expect that this formula can help to understand the representations of LCAs and Poisson vertex algebras (PVAs).
