In this talk, we will talk about typically Picard exceptional entire function and meromorphic function and Steinmetz's problem concerning distribution of Julia direction with some tools from ergodic theory and complex analysis. This talk is based on some joint works with Zhitao Wen, Zhuan Ye, and Hui Li.
